This April, Cuban boxers will be competing at their country's very own National Sports Olympics for places at the Beijing Olympic Games. The competition is certainly going to be intense and standards world class. Which is why Interchange, travel specialists to Cuba, have got together with Richie Woodhall (former Olympic Bronze medallist, Commonwealth champion, European champion and WBC champion) to offer you the opportunity to be there whilst combining it with a spectacular holiday to one of the fastest growing and popular tourist destinations in the world, with temperatures around 28°centigrade.
Our 12 day holiday (23 April – 4 May 2008) led by Richie and his wife starts with the first 4 days in the capital of Havana where the bouts take place. So in addition to attending the final stages of the tournament, there's the chance to discover one of the Caribbean's most breathtaking cities and take in its vibrant history, unique culture and colourful lifestyle.
Then its 8 glorious days in the outstanding beach resort of Varadero enjoying 4 star accommodation in an all-inclusive hotel where you can be as relaxed or active as you choose. Lie on white sandy beaches, sip cocktails by the pool, play golf or tennis, take a catamaran excursion and swim with the dolphins - it's up to you!
